About The Position
Red Cliffs Health and Rehab is a skilled nursing facility in St. George, Utah, providing long-term and rehabilitation care to residents. The facility is expanding its nursing team and describes a supportive team environment, grateful residents, and opportunities to grow as a nurse. This is a full-time position with 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., three days per week. Skilled nursing facility nurses care for geriatric patients who require 24/7 care.
Requirements
- LPN license in good standing.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding long-term care.
Responsibilities
- Order medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed.
- Prepare and administer treatments and medications as ordered by the physician.
- Notify the resident’s physician and/or family members when the resident’s condition changes.
- Provide professional nursing services as necessary, including tube feedings, suction, catheterization, and changing dressings, packs, and irrigations.
- Continuously observe and monitor seriously ill residents.
- Act as a patient advocate and ensure other healthcare team members provide care according to the resident’s care plan and personal wishes.
- Complete necessary charting accurately and in a timely manner.
