About The Position
Red Cliffs Health and Rehab, a skilled nursing facility in St. George, Utah, is expanding its nursing team. The facility provides long-term and rehabilitation care for residents. The Licensed Practical Nurse provides professional nursing care to residents, including geriatric patients who require 24/7 care. This is a full-time, night-shift position with 12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, three days per week. The facility describes a supportive team environment and offers opportunities to grow as a nurse.
Requirements
- LPN license in good standing.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding long-term care.
Responsibilities
- Order medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed.
- Prepare and administer treatments and medications as ordered by the physician.
- Notify the resident's physician and/or family members when there is a change in the resident's condition.
- Provide professional nursing services such as tube feedings, suction, catheterization, and changing dressings, packs, and irrigations as necessary.
- Continuously observe and monitor seriously ill residents.
- Act as the patient advocate and ensure other health care team members provide care according to the resident's care plan and personal wishes.
- Complete necessary charting accurately and in a timely manner.
