About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for the 3–11 PM evening shift at its residential detox and drug rehabilitation center in Covington, Louisiana. The facility provides medical stabilization and inpatient rehabilitation for people with drug and alcohol use disorders. LPNs provide medical care throughout each client’s admission, treatment, and discharge; coordinate medication and pharmacy needs; collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams; maintain medical records; and educate patients. Requirements

• Completion of a minimum one-year diploma program after high school.
• Current licensure to practice in the state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and efficient, with the ability to multitask.
• Compassionate, dignified character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality medical care to each client throughout admission, treatment, and discharge.
• Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and maintain clear medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, tracking, and reporting for each client.
• Provide patient education in individual and group settings.
