About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides appropriate nursing care on the nursing unit as directed by a registered nurse. The role includes gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures for patients in an age- and population-appropriate manner in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines. The nurse also performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• Current LPN/LVN licensure in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if the state participates.
• Current BLS certification; AHA-approved BLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• Current IV certification within 90 days of employment, if required by state regulations.

Nice To Haves

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit.
• Gather and report data.
• Carry out orders.
• Perform therapeutic procedures on patients in an age- and population-appropriate manner, consistent with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
