About The Position
Beacon Home Health is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality and skilled patient care in patients’ homes in Wilson County and surrounding communities. The LPN provides services within the scope of practice defined by state nursing laws, follows the plan of care, and coordinates with other members of the health care team. The role includes instructing patients’ families in patient care, maintaining a healthy patient environment, and observing, documenting, and reporting patients’ responses to treatment and changes in condition to the supervising nurse and/or physician. The LPN collaborates with physicians and RNs and documents care accurately and promptly. The LPN may not alter the plan of care. The position involves traveling to multiple patient residences daily within the assigned geographic area.
Requirements
- One year of clinical LPN experience.
- Current LPN license in the state where services are rendered.
- Current CPR certification.
- Driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
- Access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
- Ability to reliably commute to multiple patient residences daily within the assigned geographic area.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality and skilled patient care in patients’ homes.
- Provide services within the scope of practice defined by state nursing laws and in accordance with the plan of care.
- Coordinate care with other members of the health care team.
- Instruct patients’ families in patient care and maintain a healthy environment for patients.
- Observe and document patients’ responses to treatment and changes in condition daily.
- Report patients’ responses to treatment and changes in condition to the supervising nurse and/or physician.
- Collaborate with physicians and RNs.
- Document care accurately and promptly without altering the plan of care.
- Commute reliably to multiple patient residences daily within the assigned geographic area.
