About The Position
Centurion Health is seeking a Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team at the Georgia Diagnostic & Classification State Prison in Jackson, GA. This role provides holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients, working under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical/psychiatric staff. The position offers a structured clinical environment with clear policies, a dedicated security presence, and no family or visitor interactions, which can reduce stress. The role involves collaboration with medical, mental health, and custody teams, and requires accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in behavioral health, correctional, or ER
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license | Compact (MSL) or Georgia (SL) | Must be active and valid
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or BLS | Must be active
- Ability to obtain security clearance via the GADOC, this may include drug screen and criminal background check
