About The Position

Centurion Health is seeking a Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their day shift team at the Special Management Unit in Jackson, GA. This role offers day hours, competitive pay, and a structured clinical environment within a correctional facility. The LPN will provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical/psychiatric staff, addressing both physical and behavioral health needs. The position emphasizes safety, ethical care, and collaboration with medical, mental health, and custody teams, with a focus on accurate documentation and adherence to security protocols.

Requirements

2 years of experience in behavioral health, correctional, or ER.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (Compact (MSL) or Georgia (SL)) - Must be active and valid.
Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or BLS - Must be active.
Ability to obtain security clearance via the GADOC, this may include drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
Work under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff.
Respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.
Deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care.
Follow established safety, security, and infection control protocols.
Monitor patient conditions and report changes appropriately.
Collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody teams.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
