About The Position

Interim Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct medical care to students in school districts throughout Lackawanna County. This role involves working in either a 1:1 setting or a classroom setting, supporting students with various medical needs including trach/vent, feeding tubes, diabetes, seizures, catheters, and incontinence. The position offers a competitive salary, M-F day hours, and opportunities for work during summer months. Requirements

Current Nursing License in the State of Pa
Minimum One (1) Year Relative Experience; Required
Cpr Certification
Valid Driver's License
Willing to Undergo Pre-employment Screenings

Responsibilities

Administer Medications, Perform Health Procedures, and Respond to Medical Emergencies for Students with Chronic or Acute Health Needs.
Create and Maintain Individualized Health Care Plans (IHPS) and Emergency Action Plans (IEPs) in Collaboration with Educators and Families.
Track and Assess Students' Physical and Emotional Health, Especially Those with Disabilities or Special Medical Conditions.
Teach Students Basic Hygiene, Self-care, and Life Skills Related to Health, Tailored to Developmental and Cognitive Levels.
Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) Meetings and Provide Health-related Input for Students' Educational Planning.
Ensure the Classroom Is Safe and Accessible, Train Staff on Health Protocols, and Advocate for Students’ Health-related Needs.
