About The Position

The Clinic LPN at the Kentucky Bariatric Institute provides clinical support and care coordination for bariatric surgery and medical weight loss patients throughout their treatment journey, under the supervision of an RN. The role serves as a patient advocate and educator and supports preoperative preparation, postoperative follow-up, triage, medication management, and communication among patients, providers, and healthcare team members. The LPN promotes high-quality patient care in support of the Kentucky Bariatric Institute’s mission and goals.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Current LPN license to practice in Kentucky or a compact state.
• BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support and care coordination for bariatric surgery and medical weight loss patients throughout their treatment journey.
• Advocate for and educate patients.
• Assist with preoperative preparation and postoperative follow-up.
• Provide triage and medication management.
• Facilitate communication between patients, providers, and healthcare team members.
• Promote high-quality patient care in support of the Kentucky Bariatric Institute’s mission and goals.
