About The Position

Mt Olympus Rehab in Salt Lake City, Utah is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care to residents in a long-term care setting. This is a part-time night position with 12-hour shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM. Part-time nurses work 1–2 days per week. The pay range is $26–$36 per hour, depending on experience. Part-time employees are not eligible for the listed employee benefits. The organization offers a nursing tuition reimbursement program of up to $500 per month before taxes for eligible employees attending nursing school or reimbursement of a nursing program. Eligibility requires working part-time or full-time and completing the first 90 days; no contract is required.

Requirements

• Current Utah-issued LPN license in good standing.
• Effective communication.
• Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Order medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed.
• Prepare and administer treatments and medications as ordered by the physician.
• Notify the resident's physician and/or family members when there is a change in the resident's condition.
• Provide professional nursing services such as tube feedings, suction, catheterization, and changing dressings, packs, and irrigations as necessary.
• Continuously observe and monitor seriously ill residents.
• Act as the patient advocate and ensure other healthcare team members provide care according to the resident's care plan and personal wishes.
• Complete required charting accurately and in a timely manner.
