Licensed Practical Nurse - Part-time
About The Position
This is a part-time position for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with evening and night shifts available. The role involves assisting with resident needs, planning and implementing resident care based on physician orders, and evaluating care effectiveness. The LPN will also be responsible for ensuring residents receive their medication on time, monitoring vital signs, assisting residents with daily living activities, and supervising Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure they are following physician orders. This job description is not exhaustive and may change as organizational needs evolve.
Requirements
- Must be currently licensed in the State of Florida as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Must be CPR Certified.
Nice To Haves
- One year of long-term care desirable.
- Med-Surg, Home Health experience helpful.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the evaluation of resident's needs.
- Assist with planning resident care based on MD orders.
- Implement resident care based on MD orders.
- Evaluate care and communicate with MD for updates of orders (PRN).
- Ensure that residents receive their medicine at the prescribed time by the MD order.
- Monitor blood glucose, temperature and blood pressure.
- Assist residents with Daily Living Activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfer, ambulation, toileting and other resident needs.
- Ensure that CNAs are following MD Orders.
