About The Position

In this role, you’ll provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care that supports the health, dignity, and well-being of our residents. You’ll administer medications, monitor conditions, and respond to changes with clinical expertise and attention to detail. As a key member of the care team, you’ll collaborate with colleagues and guide nursing assistants to ensure high-quality, person-centered care. You’ll also play an important role in creating a safe, supportive environment where residents feel respected and valued every day.

Requirements

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in the State of Michigan.
• Current CPR certification required or willing to obtain upon hire.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment.
• Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.
• Previous experience working with the elderly/geriatric care

Responsibilities

• Deliver Direct Nursing Care – Administer medications, perform treatments, monitor vital signs and wound care.
• Conduct Health Assessments – Evaluate residents and report changes in condition to the clinical team.
• Monitor and Adjust Care Plans – Observe residents for adverse reactions or side effects and update care plans accordingly.
• Coordinate Interdisciplinary Care – Work with teams to enhance residents’ quality of life.
• Supervise and Mentor Staff – Oversee nursing assistants and support staff, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Document Resident Care – Complete daily and monthly records accurately, reflecting care provided and resident responses.
• Manage Admissions and Discharges – Perform admission and discharge procedures as directed.
• Maintain Medical Records – Keep accurate, up-to-date records in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Ensure Safety and Infection Control – Follow all protocols to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.
• Prevent Spread of Illness – Adhere to proper infection control procedures at all times.
• Engage in Ongoing Education – Maintain certifications and stay current with best practices.
