About The Position

The LPN position at the Transitional Living Facility with William R. Sharpe Jr. Hospital participates in interdisciplinary meetings to organize structured individual client groups to address weekly activities to include recreational, leisure and daily living skills. Observe, report and document consumers behavior, attitudes, physical condition and participation in treatment for attaining basic skills for living in a community. Interacts effectively, encourages and reinforces therapeutic treatment to facilitate obtainment of life skills. Transports consumers to appropriate places. Oversee activities and perform duties necessary to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly living and working environment for clients and community. Participates in formal training programs to develop knowledge and abilities required to meet the needs of the consumer. Provides basic nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse and program director.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the West Virginia State Board of Examiners for Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Applicants selected must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test.
  • All employees shall be subject to drug testing and alcohol testing for probable causes as set forth in agency and bureau policies.
  • Applicants selected must successfully complete a background check.

  • Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position.

Benefits

  • Appointment incentive of $7,500.00 to the selected applicant who agrees to work for the facility for a minimum of twelve (12) months.
