About The Position

This job provides direct care, including IV therapy, to assigned patients within the framework of the Licensed Practical Nurse Act and under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The LPN directs and assists ancillary nursing staff with assigned duties and interacts with the multidisciplinary team and other personnel. The LPN demonstrates professional responsibility, is accountable for their own practice, and assists other members of the healthcare team in providing high-quality, personalized patient care. The position requires care delivery in a patient-care setting, with routine exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue, and potential occupational exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous medications, or hazardous waste. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience working with and maintaining confidential information.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Current LPN license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Excellent organizational skills.
Good time-management skills and ability to work independently.
Good judgment.
Good interpersonal skills.
Delegation skills.

Responsibilities

Use the Nursing Process to deliver patient care through data gathering, planning, and evaluation.
Provide care based on patients’ physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related needs, appropriate to the ages of patients served.
Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, guests, family members, and coworkers to support a quality patient experience.
Adapt positively to rapid changes in unit or department needs.
Manage professional development and maintain required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training, and credentials.
Direct and assist ancillary nursing staff with assigned duties.
