About The Position

UVA Imaging is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, compassionate individual who is a strong communicator to join an energetic, patient-focused team! Are you passionate about patient care? Do you love interacting with people? Come and join our team as an LPN for a Part-time position, at our outpatient imaging center located in Zion Crossroads, VA. This position is scheduled for Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, and every other Saturday from 8:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year as a LPN in a clinical setting
• Must be a graduate of an approved LPN program.
• Must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.
• BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.

Responsibilities

• Preparing patients for imaging procedures, including conducting safety screenings, obtaining and reviewing patient histories as needed, and establishing IV access.
• Ability to work independently and multitask under the direction of a RN or licensed independent practitioner.
• Ability to manage medical emergencies and/or contrast reactions under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner.
• Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
