Licensed Practical Nurse - Part-Time Days
About The Position
UVA Imaging is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, compassionate individual who is a strong communicator to join an energetic, patient-focused team! This position is scheduled for Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, and every other Saturday from 8:00 AM–6:00 PM. The LPN is responsible for preparing patients for imaging procedures, including conducting safety screenings, obtaining and reviewing patient histories as needed, and establishing IV access. The ideal candidate will have strong patient care skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced imaging environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year as a LPN in a clinical setting
- Must be a graduate of an approved LPN program
- Must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice
- BLS certification required within 60 days of hire
- Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data
Responsibilities
- Preparing patients for imaging procedures
- Conducting safety screenings
- Obtaining and reviewing patient histories as needed
- Establishing IV access
- Ability to work independently and multitask under the direction of a RN or licensed independent practitioner
- Ability to manage medical emergencies and/or contrast reactions under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner
- Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely
