About The Position

Spring Hill Recovery Center, part of Northeast Recovery, is seeking a full-time and part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team in Ashby, MA. The LPN will provide exceptional nursing care to clients in the residential treatment program, focusing on their individualized needs. This role involves medication management, documentation in KIPU (EMR system), adherence to safety and infection control procedures, and observation of clients' physical and emotional status. The LPN will collaborate with the Medical and Clinical team, as well as the multi-disciplinary team, contributing to the client's recovery plan through regular assessment and documentation of their physical condition.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of addiction and the 12-Step Recovery Program.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures used in the event of alcohol and/or drug overdose including First Aid, CPR and Narcan administering.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction. This includes Confidentiality, Patient Rights, Professional Code of Ethics and Discrimination.
  • Demonstrates excellent proficiency in communication, observation & written skills.
  • Ability to lift or push 20 pounds or more.
  • Employee may be required to stand and/or move throughout a large portion of the shift.
  • 1+ year of experience as a staff nurse.
  • Current Massachusetts LPN License
  • CPR Certified required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with substance use patients or in recovery setting preferred.
  • Experience working with SUD patients preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing care to clients enrolled in our residential treatment program.
  • Prepares and monitors medications and treatments.
  • Documents required information, including medications and dosage in KIPU, our EMR system.
  • Performs all nursing responsibilities in accordance with prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
  • Observes and evaluates the physical and emotional status of clients and takes immediate action when necessary.
  • Assists and coordinates nursing care with the Medical and Clinical team.
  • Works with the multi-disciplinary team on the client's recovery plan.
  • Participates and contributes to the client's recovery plan by assessing and documenting the client's overall physical condition or changes, daily.
