About The Position
Lincoln Recovery is seeking passionate nurses for their overnight shift who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals beginning their recovery journey. This role is ideal for those interested in behavioral health and substance use treatment, offering a supportive environment, comprehensive training, and a collaborative clinical team. The overnight LPN plays a crucial part in client recovery, working within a structured setting that emphasizes relationship-building, critical thinking, and compassionate care.
Requirements
- Active Illinois LPN license
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to remain calm and organized in fast-paced situations
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn
Nice To Haves
- Behavioral health, detox, or mental health experience is a plus — but not required
Responsibilities
- Complete nursing intake assessments and assist with detox treatment planning
- Conduct daily nursing assessments and monitor client health status
- Administer medications, treatments, and vaccines
- Process labs and communicate critical information to providers
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA/regulatory compliance
- Respond to medical concerns calmly and professionally
- Support clients through withdrawal management and stabilization
- Collaborate closely with providers, RNs, therapists, and the clinical team
- Communicate with families and outside providers when appropriate
- Coordinate hospital transfers and nurse-to-nurse reporting
- Maintain medical supplies and assist with nursing operations
- Participate in trainings, meetings, and ongoing development opportunities
