About The Position

Seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with Emergency Department (ED) and Paediatric ED experience. The ideal candidate will be skilled in IV placement, phlebotomy, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced acute care environment with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Current New York State LPN License
• Minimum 1 year of experience (ED or Paediatric ED preferred)
• IV placement and phlebotomy skills required
• CPR Certification (or ability to obtain)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

• Prior inpatient or hospital experience
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an acute care / ED setting
• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy
• Take and record vital signs and patient progress
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during procedures
• Administer injections and assist with clinical procedures
• Set up exam rooms and maintain clinical areas
• Observe and report patient responses to treatments
• Assist with scheduling, chart preparation, and general administrative duties
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Obtain insurance authorizations and coordinate referrals
