About The Position

University Hospitals Avon Rehabilitation Hospital, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and University Hospitals, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide hands-on, patient-centered care under RN supervision. The LPN supports treatments, assessments, and individualized care plans to help patients move toward healing and stability. The role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment while taking appropriate action.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

• IV Certification is highly preferred; otherwise, it must be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate bedside care under RN supervision.
• Administer medications accurately while following safety protocols.
• Support assessments, reassessments, and care plan updates based on patient needs.
• Use effective pain management, patient education, and rehabilitation interventions.
• Promote patient safety through timely documentation and quality-focused care.
