About The Position

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role calls for good judgment, fiscally responsible use of patient-care supplies and equipment, and positive interpersonal skills. Team members promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to state and federal regulations, Joint Commission requirements, and national patient safety standards. The nurse provides compassionate bedside care and builds positive relationships with patients, guests, and team members while striving for service and quality excellence. This is a PRN Tier 2 position serving the Medical Surgical area at the Camden campus and BWK campus. The commitment is six shifts per six-week schedule, including two weekend shifts per schedule period. Shifts are scheduled two weeks before each upcoming six-week schedule. Pay is based on experience plus $5.00, with applicable shift differentials.

Requirements

Graduate of an LPN program.
Current license to practice as an LPN in the State of Georgia.
At least one year of previous nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Manage assigned patients’ care using the knowledge, skills, judgment, and decision-making appropriate to the area and patient population.
Deliver patient care using standardized evidence-based guidelines and appropriate resources, including personnel, services, supplies, and equipment.
Communicate, collaborate, and function with other members of the health team to provide optimum care.
Provide compassionate bedside care and maintain positive relationships with patients, guests, and team members.
Promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to applicable regulatory and patient-safety requirements.
Use patient-care supplies and equipment in a fiscally responsible manner.
