About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse works in the Opioid Treatment Program at Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center. In collaboration with an RN, the LPN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates assigned patient care, performing advanced skills independently within area guidelines after education and demonstration of clinical competency. The role supports the center’s mission to advocate, care, teach, and serve, with special emphasis on Marion County’s vulnerable population. The position includes patient intake and medical-history gathering, arranging lab work, documenting withdrawal symptoms, orienting clients to clinical procedures, administering prescribed treatments and medications, maintaining medication and stock accountability records, and coordinating client-physician schedules. The LPN works with the healthcare team and evaluates whether clients need a different level of medical care. The program serves patients receiving opioid treatment medication, and staff must be trained and experienced in safely managing and providing therapeutic services to these patients. This is a full-time day-shift position scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, 5:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. The role is eligible for the center’s four-day, 32-hour workweek pilot, paid for 40 hours per week plus benefits.
