About The Position

Helio Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in its Utica Opioid Treatment Program. As a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, the LPN provides medical and counseling services in a variety of clinical settings and works directly with clients on medical care and information. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Compensation is $25.00–$27.00 per hour. Full-time LPNs are eligible for a sign-on incentive of up to $4,000.

Requirements

• Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the New York State Education Department.
• Basic computer skills.

• Experience and/or training in the treatment of substance abuse and/or substance dependency.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to clients for medical issues.
• Monitor and document clients’ medical status and signs and symptoms of withdrawal, and report findings to a supervisor or medical director.
• Coordinate with other medical staff to support continuity of clients’ medical care.
• Communicate with clinical staff about clients’ medical concerns.
• Work directly with clients to provide medical services and interpret medical information.
• Provide direct client care, including medical assessment and implementation of medical orders, and report communicable and infectious diseases in accordance with the law.
• Provide public health and screening protocols.
• Provide and document medical consultation, assessment, examination, and treatment planning and review in accordance with agency policy and requirements.
