About The Position
A Licensed Practical Nurse (10 Months) provides practical nursing care to patients and clients under the direction of a physician or registered nurse. The role has no supervisory duties or responsibilities and receives moderate supervision from a technical superior. Work may take place in a clinic, office, or client’s home, where employees may be exposed to illness, disease, and stressful conditions. The work requires minimal physical exertion. Employees may work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Requirements
- Two years of experience as a licensed practical nurse.
- Current licensure as a practical nurse in Maryland or practical nurse licensure from a Multi-State Licensure Compact participant state.
- Knowledge of practical nursing standards and practices.
- Ability to apply practical nursing care.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, physicians, registered nurses, other health care professionals, patients, and their families.
- Ability to communicate orally effectively.
- Ability to maintain records.
