Licensed Practical Nurse - Medical Surgical Rehab
About The Position
As a Licensed Practical Nurse on the inpatient rehabilitation unit at Saint Luke’s destination rehabilitation center, you will care for patients with a variety of conditions and treatment plans, including stroke, neurological, spine, transplant, and trauma rehabilitation. You will practice at the top of your LPN licensure while following SLHS policies and procedures. With RN guidance and oversight, you will perform assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with therapists, providers, and other ancillary departments. The position offers the opportunity to work with leading technology and robotics in a new facility. The rehabilitation institute is a destination center focused on enhancing rehabilitation patient care in the Midwest. IV certification is required. The schedule is full-time days, working three shifts per week from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse license in Kansas.
- IV certification.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Associate degree.
- Less than one year of applicable experience is listed.
Nice To Haves
- Rehabilitation experience is a plus but is not required.
- Experience with dialysis, transplant, or neurology is preferred but not required.
- Flexibility, adaptability, openness to feedback, eagerness to learn, strong communication, teamwork, passion for nursing, and interest in developing relationships with patients.
Responsibilities
