About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides quality professional health services to children in Arc Broward’s Preschool and ABLE Program. Services include medication administration, routine medical assessments, daily triage of illnesses and injuries, record documentation and review, health screening, and health education. The nurse assesses each individual’s health care needs and works in an interdisciplinary team environment under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. The role implements policies and procedures for medical, dental, dietary, pharmaceutical, and nursing services in accordance with agency and regulatory standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current license to practice nursing as an LPN in the state of Florida.
• Minimum of one year of experience.
• Successfully complete the required Level II background check, physical, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication administration and routine medical assessments.
• Conduct daily triage of illnesses and injuries.
• Document and review health records.
• Provide health screening and health education for children in the Preschool and ABLE Program.
