About The Position

Neulife Rehabilitation is seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to provide patient care at its rehabilitation facility in Mt Dora, Florida. The LPN works night shifts to support patients’ well-being and comfort. The role includes administering medications and treatments, monitoring and documenting patients’ conditions, assisting with assessments, and collaborating with healthcare team members. LPNs also provide basic care and treatments, help patients with daily activities, supervise aides or assistants, and use and sterilize clinical equipment. Duties may be added or changed by the company.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in nursing.
LPN license.
1–2 years of related experience.
Service orientation.
Active listening.
Coordination.
Monitoring skills.
Wound care skills.
IV certification.

Responsibilities

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including starting intravenous fluids when required, and document times and amounts.
Observe patients and record and report changes in their conditions.
Answer patient calls and determine how to assist patients.
Measure and record vital signs.
Assist with patient assessments and evaluations.
Work with healthcare team members to assess patient needs, plan and modify care, and implement interventions.
Supervise nurses’ aides or assistants.
Assemble and use equipment such as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, and oxygen suppliers.
Record patients’ food and fluid intake and output.
Collect samples such as blood and urine and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
Prepare patients for examinations, tests, and treatments, and explain procedures.
Help patients with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, moving in bed, standing, and walking.
Sterilize equipment and supplies.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
