About The Position
Phoenix Home Care & Hospice is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide private duty pediatric home care. The role offers one-on-one nursing care in a patient’s home, consistent schedules with long-term cases, and opportunities to build relationships with children and their families. Phoenix will cover the cost of obtaining a Missouri nursing license and guide the nurse through the licensure process. Pay is competitive based on experience, with weekly pay, paid training, ongoing clinical support, and premium pay of an additional $2 per hour for weekday overnights, $3 per hour for weekend days, and $4 per hour for weekend overnights. Weekend day shifts are also available.
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN or LPN license.
- Strong assessment and communication skills.
- A compassionate, dependable, and self-motivated approach to serving others.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Obtain a Missouri nursing license; Phoenix will cover the cost and guide the process.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled, one-on-one nursing care in the patient’s home.
- Administer and manage medications.
- Monitor and document patient conditions.
- Perform treatments as ordered by the physician.
- Educate and support family members.
- Collaborate with the Phoenix clinical team for ongoing guidance and support.
