About The Position
Sampson Regional Medical Center has a night shift opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the MedSurg Department! The selected candidate, with Registered Nurse oversight, will provide continued assessments for patients, reinforce nursing care plans and patient education, implement physician orders within LPN scope, and document patient progress.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nurse Program
- Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Nursing as an LPN
- BLS certification required
- High School Diploma required
Nice To Haves
- ACLS and PALS certification required within first 90 days of hire
- Basic Arrhythmia class required within one year of hire
- Three years of LPN experience
Responsibilities
- Provide continued assessments for patients
- Reinforce nursing care plans and patient education
- Implement physician orders within LPN scope
- Document patient progress
