This role involves assisting physicians and RNs in patient care, with a primary focus on safely and accurately administering chemotherapeutic agents under the supervision of a registered nurse. The LPN will adhere to ONS standards and guidelines, manage biohazardous waste disposal, and perform various laboratory procedures including obtaining and processing lab samples. Responsibilities also include patient assessment, documentation in OncoEMR, preparing superbills for charges, educating patients and families about treatments, and handling telephone triage. The role requires assisting with inventory and restocking medical supplies, managing medications via Nucleus, attending mandatory meetings, and maintaining patient confidentiality. The LPN may also assist in training new employees and is expected to work at any AON location as needed, while complying with all relevant laws and company policies.
