About The Position

The part-time Wellness Nurse is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who provides direct nursing care to residents, emphasizing holistic wellness. The nurse also helps supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs). The role is led by the community’s Health and Wellness Director (RN) and is based in Haddonfield, New Jersey. Compensation is $32.00–$34.00 per hour.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and a current LPN license.
Experience working with residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementias.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations and of nursing practices, techniques, and methods applied to resident health and wellness.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, and Excel), and ability to learn new applications.
The position requires standing, walking, sitting, fine and gross motor skills, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and smelling.
Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds; intermittent lifting and supporting of residents is required, using proper body mechanics.

Nice To Haves

At least two years of experience in long-term care, assisted living, home health, or a hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor residents’ health, safety, and well-being.
Assist with training and monitoring medication administration.
Supervise care staff in accordance with current state regulations and community policies.
Maintain clinical quality assurance in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
Promote the highest degree of service to residents while demonstrating the company’s mission.
Conduct thorough resident assessments.
