Assist the Registered Nurse in providing health services for the general patient population to meet applicable policies and standards. This role involves conducting health clinics, performing physical examinations, documenting patient visits, maintaining electronic health records, and assessing patients for mental health concerns. The Licensed Practical Nurse will collaborate with an inter-disciplinary health team, respond to medical emergencies, complete discharge summaries, and practice nursing according to state board standards. Responsibilities also include assisting medical practitioners, transcribing orders, organizing schedules, completing lab services, assisting with telemedicine and x-ray services, and managing central supply tasks. The role requires proper administration and documentation of medications, including checking medication totes, stocking carts, and administering self-administration medications. Additionally, the LPN will deliver information to patients and off-site medical personnel, administer treatments accurately, and demonstrate commitment to personal professionalism through continuing education, setting priorities, effective communication, maintaining medical equipment, and providing health-related training. The position also involves orienting new employees and volunteers to the Health Services department and performing other assigned tasks.
