About The Position
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for its Emergency Department, a 53-bed unit at a Level 1 Trauma Center. The hospital’s emergency department treats a range of medical emergencies, approximately 10% of which are trauma-related. It has received the Emergency Nurses' Association Lantern Award for exceptional and innovative leadership, practice, education, advocacy, and research. Sentara Norfolk General is a 525-bed medical center and primary teaching facility, and home to the region’s only Level 1 Trauma Center within a 126-mile area. The position is full-time on the day shift. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates. Sentara offers a market-competitive compensation package. The stated base-pay range for full-time employment is $28.57–$43.04 per hour; additional compensation may include shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonuses. Pay within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
