Reporting to the Director of Care or Director of Health & Wellness, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed nursing care in accordance with the provincial standards of care. This role involves working as a member of an inter-professional team, applying a person-centered approach to care, and ensuring accurate clinical assessments, care plans, and documentation. The LPN will also administer direct resident care, including medications and treatments, and coordinate nursing assignments for efficient service delivery. The position requires responding to medical emergencies, teaching and directing unregulated care providers, and coordinating emergency responses when necessary. Additionally, the LPN will address resident and family concerns, assist in coordinating infection prevention and control measures, and uphold the organization's values and philosophy.
