About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works at The Village of Westerville in Westerville, Ohio, on the first shift for 12 hours. This full-time position is responsible for medication distribution in accordance with physician orders and the community’s medication management documentation and procedures, with a strong focus on resident safety. The LPN assesses residents and develops individualized service plans that support their care needs, independence, and dignity. The role also fosters communication among physicians, healthcare providers, and families regarding residents’ physical, mental, and social well-being, contributes to quality assurance and performance improvement, and participates in ongoing learning opportunities.
Requirements
- Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Current CPR certification.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Oversee medication distribution according to physician orders and adhere to community medication management documentation and procedures, prioritizing resident safety.
- Assess residents and create personalized service plans tailored to their care needs while supporting their independence and dignity.
- Facilitate communication among physicians, healthcare providers, and families about residents’ physical, mental, and social well-being.
- Contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Attend and participate in educational seminars, staff meetings, and other learning opportunities.
