About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides medical services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them maintain optimal health and wellbeing. The role supports individualized care and works collaboratively with Direct Support Professionals to meet each individual’s needs. The position also requires accurate documentation, organization of medical supplies and equipment, and prompt communication of changes in medical or behavioral status to a supervisor. Candidates must complete required pre-employment background and drug screenings, hold a current and valid Practical Nurse license and a valid driver’s license with necessary endorsements, and have at least three years of driving experience. Basic computer skills are required; experience working with people with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred. The listed pay rate is $32.00 per hour. The position remains open until filled.

Requirements

Successfully complete required pre-employment background and drug screenings.
Possess a valid driver’s license with all necessary endorsements and at least three years of driving experience.
Possess basic computer skills.
Hold a current and valid Practical Nurse license.

Responsibilities

Provide basic healthcare services according to each individual’s plan to support optimal health and wellbeing.
Perform delegated tasks, including blood pressure monitoring, weighing individuals, and other assigned tasks.
Ensure documentation is accurate and complete according to regulations.
Organize and maintain the cleanliness of supplies and equipment, including restocking inventory.
Collaborate with Direct Support Professionals to ensure individuals’ needs are met.
Immediately communicate changes in medical or behavioral status to a supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
