About The Position

This job provides quality care to patients and families to promote health and prevent disease under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. The Licensed Practical Nurse performs general nursing care in accordance with nursing practice standards. They assist with the preparation of equipment and aid the physician/clinical provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients. Responsibilities include collecting assessment data, preparing patients for examination, and documenting clinical information on patient records. The role also involves ordering diagnostic tests as directed, gathering diagnostic tests, and examining results prior to physician/clinical provider assessment. Scheduling procedures and obtaining authorizations are also part of the duties. The nurse may administer injections or medication, collect specimens, and prepare them for testing. Other duties as assigned or required are also included.

Requirements

  • Minimum High school diploma/ GED or equivalent.
  • Current state licensure as an LPN OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
  • CPR – American Heart Association
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year healthcare experience.
  • State approved IV course certification.
  • Knowledge of OASIS documentation and assessment process.
  • PALS or ACLS may be required based on the specific area of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
