About The Position

This job provides quality care to patients and families to promote health and prevent disease under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. The Licensed Practical Nurse performs general nursing care in accordance with nursing practice standards. They assist with the preparation of equipment and assist the physician/clinical provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients. The role involves collecting assessment data, preparing patients for examination, and documenting clinical information on patient records. Additionally, the LPN orders diagnostic tests as directed by a registered nurse or physician/clinical provider and gathers diagnostic tests and/or examines results prior to physician/clinical provider assessment. Scheduling procedures and obtaining authorizations as necessary are also part of the responsibilities. The LPN may administer injections or medication, collect specimens, and prepare them for testing. Other duties as assigned or required are also part of the role.

Requirements

• Minimum High school diploma/ GED or equivalent.
• Current state licensure as an LPN OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
• CPR – American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Nice To Haves

• 1 year healthcare experience.
• State approved IV course certification.
• Knowledge of OASIS documentation and assessment process.
• PALS or ACLS may be required based on the specific area of practice.

Responsibilities
