About The Position
Villa Feliciana Medical Complex (VFMC) is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver skilled, hands-on care to patients with complex medical needs. VFMC provides compassionate, high-quality services to individuals living with chronic diseases, disabilities, terminal illnesses, and infectious conditions such as HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis, aiming to create a homelike, safe environment where every patient receives personalized care designed to improve their quality of life. Requirements
- Possession of a current Louisiana Practical Nurse license, a temporary permit, or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state.
Responsibilities
- Make rounds, assessing patients’ condition with appropriate follow-up.
- Make rounds with physicians, accurately transcribing and implementing orders.
- Assist with physical exams and other procedures as needed.
- Preparation, administration, and documentation of all medications, treatments, and IV therapy as ordered.
- Documentation of various reports, nurses’ notes/medical records as required and necessary.
- Initiate First Aid/CPR in emergencies.
- Performs all other related duties as required in order to maintain the smooth operation of the Nursing Services Department and Villa Feliciana Medical Complex.
