The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supports residential and outpatient medical operations across Central Indiana substance use disorder treatment programs, including Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana residential ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) 3.5 locations. This role serves as a key liaison between residential operations and medical services, supporting client safety, medical coordination, TB compliance, medication oversight, outpatient engagement, and continuity of care. The LPN works collaboratively with Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Medical Leadership, Operations Leadership, Therapists, Case Managers, and Residential Teams to ensure timely and appropriate medical follow-up for clients while operating within the scope of Indiana LPN licensure and organizational policy.

Requirements

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Indiana required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of medical experience required.
  • CPR and TB certifications
  • A valid Driver’s License and proof of individual automobile insurance is required in addition to a driving record that is in compliance with Volunteers of America only if the employee is assigned to transport program, participants, or any other type of activity that mandates driving.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, outpatient medical services, or residential treatment preferred.
