About The Position
This is a contract position for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a skilled nursing facility, focusing on long-term care (LTC) for night shifts. The role involves providing direct nursing care, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with the healthcare team. The facility is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment requiring flexibility and strong patient care skills. On-site housing is available.
Requirements
- Active LPN License (NC or Compact)
- Strong LTC experience REQUIRED
- Must have excellent feedback/references from previous contracts
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to variable scheduling
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to RN/physician
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care
- Assist CNAs and support team-based care delivery
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Provide compassionate, resident-centred care
