About The Position

Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) is a non-profit corporation that provides culturally sensitive health care to the American Indian population. OKCIC services not only include basic medical care, but also dental, optometry, behavioral health services, fitness, nutrition, and other family programs. Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is seeking a passionate LPN to join our Women’s Health Clinic. The ideal candidate will be energetic, highly motivated, a flexible team player, and able to adapt readily to a fast-paced clinical environment while providing professional, patient-centered nursing care to women across all stages of life Applicants claiming Indian Preference must complete the full application and must provide documentation verifying eligibility (such as a tribal enrollment card or Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB)).

Requirements

  • Must possess a current Oklahoma Nursing License in good standing with the OK State Board of Nursing.
  • Current CPR is required

Nice To Haves

  • Women’s health care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting medical staff in screening, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in a women’s health/OB-GYN setting
  • Providing education to patients and families related to women’s health, preventive care, and treatment plans
  • Keeping exam rooms stocked with necessary medical supplies and ensuring readiness for patient care
  • Supporting patient education, including diabetic education and other chronic condition management as needed
  • Preparing and administering medications in accordance with clinical protocols
  • Managing provider schedules and patient flow within the clinic
  • Retrieving and responding to patient telephone messages and EHR notifications in a timely manner
  • Operating and monitoring general nursing and clinical equipment
