This role is for a Licensed Practical Nurse in Senior Behavioral Health at Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph in Wichita, KS. Via Christi associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through our academic partnership with Wichita State University.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
- High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to execute precise clinical interventions that advance the patient’s recovery and well-being.
- Monitor patient responses to medications and treatments with a keen eye for detail, ensuring immediate action is taken to maintain safety and comfort.
- Execute essential diagnostic tests and therapeutic services that provide the critical data needed for accurate medical decision-making.
- Empower patients and their families through clear, compassionate education, ensuring they feel confident and supported in their care journey after leaving the facility.
