Licensed Practical Nurse (School-Based)
About The Position
Rockbridge Area Health Center (RAHC) is a community-based healthcare facility committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality, and affordable healthcare services to individuals and families in the Rockbridge area. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, we prioritize serving patients regardless of their ability to pay. We are currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team and contribute to our mission of promoting wellness and improving health outcomes in our community. As an LPN you will play a crucial role in the delivery of patient care at Rockbridge Area Health Center. Under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, you will be responsible for assisting in the provision of primary care services, performing routine nursing procedures, administering medications, maintaining accurate patient records, and promoting patient education and wellness.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
- Current LPN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required.
- BLS provider certification with hands on practicum is required upon hire.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years’ prior experience in a primary care or community healthcare setting preferred.
