About The Position

Benchmark at Rye is bringing 70 new Assisted Living apartments to its award-winning memory care community and is looking for a compassionate LPN or RN to join their team for Full Time Nights (10p-6a). The role involves delivering nursing care to residents in a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment. The position is part of a team of dedicated individuals, fostering community and long-lasting relationships with associates and residents. Requirements

  • Current state license as an LPN or RN and CPR certification
  • Graduate of an approved LPN or RN program (per state requirements)
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred
  • Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
  • Observe and report any significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, RCAs, and Executive Director per state regulations.
  • Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of the Resident Care Assistants.
  • Closely mentor, guide, and direct the Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.
  • Coordinate care needs with community providers via an effective case management process.
  • Effectively balance service demands with supporting resident independence.
  • Recognize and assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation (financial and other) and report to appropriate sources per state regulations.
  • Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response system and know when to call for backup.
