About The Position

Whispering Creek is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to provide evening coverage from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The role is based onsite in Janesville, Minnesota, and requires every-other-weekend availability; the posting lists .8–1.0 FTE. The position focuses on keeping residents safe, comfortable, and well cared for through sound clinical judgment and clear communication.

During the evening shift, the nurse receives a handoff and provides resident check-ins, assessments, nursing care, follow-up, medication and treatment administration, documentation, and coordination with CNAs and other staff. The nurse addresses time-sensitive needs, communicates with families as appropriate, and ensures orders and notes are up to date before shift change.

Requirements

• Current Minnesota RN or LPN license.
• Ability to work onsite in Janesville, Minnesota.
• Solid documentation, prioritization, and teamwork skills.
• Availability for evening coverage from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident assessments, nursing care, and follow-up.
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders and policy.
• Document accurately and report changes promptly.
• Coordinate with the care team, including CNAs and other staff.
• Communicate with families as needed or appropriate.
• Address time-sensitive resident needs during the evening shift.
• Ensure orders and notes are up to date before shift change.
