Full-Time LPN or RN – Day Shift (Detox/Residential Treatment)
About The Position
Compassion Behavioral Health is seeking a reliable and compassionate full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) for its daytime nursing team at an adult Detox/IIP/Residential Treatment Center. The role provides direct client care, monitors medical needs, administers medications, and collaborates with the clinical team to support high-quality care in a safe, therapeutic environment. Nursing care must comply with facility policies, DCF requirements, and Joint Commission standards. The position follows a rotating two-week schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week. Week 1 shifts are Saturday, Tuesday, and Thursday; Week 2 shifts are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Shifts run from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
Requirements
- Current Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
- Experience in detox and mental health.
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with consistency and reliability.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to clients in accordance with facility policies, DCF, and Joint Commission standards.
- Conduct nursing assessments, monitor vital signs, and document client progress.
- Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate medication records.
- Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate care as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers on client treatment plans.
- Educate clients about medications, health concerns, and recovery support.
- Maintain professional boundaries and a therapeutic environment within the RTC setting.
