About The Position
NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group-Hudson Valley-Northern Westchester County is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for their Neurology/Sleep Medicine practice. As part of the NewYork-Presbyterian enterprise, this role contributes to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. The LPN will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, contribute to the patient care plan, and assist in maintaining a therapeutic environment. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 40-hour workweek, located at 1985 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY Building C.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- Current Licensure and registration as a LPN in New York State.
- Knowledge in Principals of infection control, performance improvements and delegation.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual English and Spanish speaking preferred.
- Able to administer injections.
- Perform blood draws.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care as delegated by and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Contributes to the plan of patient care.
- Assists in providing a therapeutic environment.
- Functions within the policies and procedures of NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group (NYPMG), divisions, and the Clinical Nursing departments/practices.
