Renewal Falls Recovery Center is opening a premier substance use disorder treatment center in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and we're looking for compassionate, skilled Licensed Practical Nurses to join our founding clinical team. Renewal Falls Recovery Center, in partnership with Ascension Recovery Services, provides evidence-based treatment for individuals experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Requirements

  • Current Iowa Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
  • Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Strong communication, organization, and patient care skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary treatment team
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in detoxification, behavioral health, addiction medicine, long-term care, medical-surgical nursing, or corrections
  • Knowledge of medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing substance use and co-occurring disorders

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with provider orders
  • Monitor patients throughout detoxification and residential treatment
  • Observe, assess, and report changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse or provider
  • Assist with nursing assessments, admissions, and ongoing patient care
  • Provide patient education regarding medications, wellness, and recovery
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation
  • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and crisis situations
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, therapists, behavioral health technicians, and case management staff
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, state regulations, and company policies
  • Promote a safe, therapeutic, trauma-informed environment for patients and staff
