Renewal Falls Recovery Center is opening a premier substance use disorder treatment center in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and we're looking for compassionate, skilled Licensed Practical Nurses to join our founding clinical team. Requirements
- Current Iowa Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Strong communication, organization, and patient care skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary treatment team
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
Nice To Haves
- Experience in detoxification, behavioral health, addiction medicine, long-term care, medical-surgical nursing, or corrections
- Knowledge of medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
- Experience working with individuals experiencing substance use and co-occurring disorders
Responsibilities
- Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with provider orders
- Monitor patients throughout detoxification and residential treatment
- Observe, assess, and report changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse or provider
- Assist with nursing assessments, admissions, and ongoing patient care
- Provide patient education regarding medications, wellness, and recovery
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and crisis situations
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, therapists, behavioral health technicians, and case management staff
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, state regulations, and company policies
- Promote a safe, therapeutic, trauma-informed environment for patients and staff
