About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring multiple Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support students in the Spanaway, Washington area. These positions involve providing individualized nursing care to students with a variety of medical needs throughout the school day. Specific responsibilities and schedules will vary by assignment. This role is for individuals with strong clinical skills looking for meaningful, student-centered work.

Requirements

• Active Washington State LPN license or qualifying multistate nursing license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to complete required fingerprinting and background checks
• Reliable, attentive, and comfortable working in a school environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting children with medical needs preferred
• Specialized nursing experience, such as tracheostomy or G-tube care, may be required for certain assignments

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support to students during the school day
• Monitor students’ health and respond appropriately to medical needs
• Follow individualized healthcare and emergency care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as assigned
• Collaborate with families, school staff, and healthcare providers
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation
• Support students’ safe participation in school activities
• Assist with transportation needs when required by the assignment
